Plastic water containers are widely used because of its availability and durability but many of these containers are not safe to use. Plastic is known to have a chemical compound called Bisphenol A which is very dangerous as a byproduct. It is not advisable to reuse milk or juice containers because even after cleaning, bacteria may still remain and easily grow when water is stored in them.

One of the most common types of water container is the water bottle. Water bottle is very useful for office use or when hitting the gym. When choosing the best type of water bottle it is important to consider some factors like how much water needed and which activities to be done. The amount of water needed also varies from age, physical condition and climate.

Also consider bottled water that is eco-friendly and that is easily carried and handled. There are water containers that have a built-in water filter inside that offers added purification of the water before drinking. Collapsible drinking containers have also become popular as communal use. These collapsible water containers can roll or fold up when not used and is easily stored away. Some can even be frozen or boiled without damaging the water container.

For large water containers, stackable gallon containers are available which can save storing space. Some of the large containers can also act at the same time as dispensers making it convenient to obtain water from the container.
